Students interested in one or more of our scholarships must create an account through our online portal to complete the 2026 SACF Scholarships Common Application, which functions as an eligibility questionnaire. After completing the Common Application, the student will be directed to the scholarship application(s) they qualify for.

John & Grace Kreig Scholarship

This scholarship, selected by Riverside Jr/Sr High School, is awarded to a student from RIverside Jr/Sr High School who has demonstrated characteristics of academic achievement, good citizenship and service to others, leadership, and who is pursuing business or medicine as a career.

John Malvizzi Memorial Scholarship

Established in April 2025 by the John Malvizzi Foundation, the John Malvizzi Memorial Scholarship supports students pursuing a graduate degree in a mental health–related program, such as Psychology, Psychiatry, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, at the University of Scranton.

Students should demonstrate a strong commitment to mental health advocacy and be enrolled in mental health-related programs. This scholarship aims to encourage and support the next generation of mental health professionals who will contribute to our community’s well-being.

John R. and Maureen J. Pesavento All Saints Interparochial Academy Scholarship for Scranton Preparatory School

This scholarship is awarded for educational expenses to a student at All Saints Interparochial Academy who received the highest grades in the entrance examinations taken prior to admittance to Scranton Preparatory School, and is matriculating at Scranton Preparatory School as a freshman.

John R. and Maureen J. Pesavento All Saints Interparochial Academy Scholarship Fund for Holy Cross High School

John and Maureen Pesavento established this scholarship fund in June 2005 to provide an annual scholarship to Holy Cross High School to an eighth-grade student at All Saints Interparochial Academy.

John R. and Maureen J. Pesavento Scholarship Fund

This fund provides two (2) scholarship awards each year to support an incoming Freshman or incoming/rising Sophomore who is enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at either Johnson College, Lackawanna College, Keystone College, or Penn State Scranton Campus.

In even-numbered years, one (1) scholarship will be awarded to a student at Keystone College, and one (1) scholarship will be awarded to a student at Johnson College. The spendable balance will be split evenly between each recipient.

In odd-numbered years, one (1) scholarship will be awarded to a student at Penn State Scranton, and one (1) scholarship will be awarded to a student at Lackawanna College. The spendable balance will be split evenly between each recipient.
