Students, INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?
Students interested in one or more of our scholarships must create an account through our online portal to complete the 2026 SACF Scholarships Common Application, which functions as an eligibility questionnaire. After completing the Common Application, the student will be directed to the scholarship application(s) they qualify for.

Harry and Carol Kuzmick Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an individual who is a resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and who intends to pursue a degree from a college or university.
Irene Zurine Memorial Scholarship
Established in January 2026, the Irene Zurine Memorial Scholarship Fund awards scholarships each year to support girls and women, traditional or nontraditional students, who are furthering their education.
James F. Swift Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from Lackawanna County high schools who plan to continue their education in a college or university program. This $6,000 scholarship, renewable for a total of 4 years, is offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice. 20 students will be selected annually for this award.
James M. Akens North Pocono Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from North Pocono High School, selected by the school, who has maintained a career GPA that shall not be below the average GPA of his or her class,and who intends to pursue a college degree and has a proven ability to participate at a college level in at least one of three sports: basketball, football, or baseball.
Jane H. Rushmore Memorial Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship, selected by the school, is awarded to a student matriculating in the practical nursing program at the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County.
