NEPA GIVES RAISES OVER $1.2 MILLION IN 24 HOURS FOR 225+ NONPROFITS
A successful 4th Annual NEPA Gives!
Thanks to the generosity of 6,209 donors from Northeastern Pennsylvania and beyond, NEPA Gives raised over $1.2 million for 227 organizations in just 24 hours from June 1-2, 2023!
NEPA Gives, Northeastern Pennsylvania’s largest giving event, raises awareness about the critical work nonprofit organizations carry out across the region and aims to help charitable organizations raise much-needed funds.
In its fourth year, over 227 nonprofit organizations from across eight counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania participated in NEPA Gives 2023.
Over 6,209 donors generously supported NEPA Gives.
227 nonprofit organizations received donations in the 24-hour fundraising event.
NEPA Gives is hosted by the Scranton Area Community Foundation, in partnership with The Luzerne Foundation, Greater Pike Community Foundation, Wayne County Community Foundation, Carbon County Community Foundation, Posture Interactive, and other community sponsors.
Adding to the excitement, hundreds of thousands of dollars in matching funds, incentives, and prizes were provided by various community partners, businesses, and sponsors making donations to participating nonprofits during NEPA Gives stretch even further.
On Friday evening, June 2, the Scranton Area Community Foundation hosted an in-person NEPA Gives closing celebration at the Hilton Scranton Conference Center to coincide with First Friday Scranton.
The event included live entertainment, music by Black Tie Stereo, giveaways, real-time and live-streamed updates on NEPA Gives with Chris Strub, known nationally as ‘The Giving Day Guy,’ and opportunities for the general public to meet many participating nonprofits.
This was the fourth year for NEPA Gives. To date, NEPA Gives has raised over $4.1 million for hundreds of local nonprofit organizations in Northeastern Pennsylvania since it began in 2020.
