Application for the Sheldon Family Foundation 2024 Grant Cycle Open April 24th, 2024

Beginning April 24th, 2024, The Sheldon Family Foundation at the Scranton Area Community Foundation welcomes applications from nonprofit organizations for its 2024 grant cycle. The Sheldon Family Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals residing or visiting the counties situated in the Endless Mountains region, including Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Sullivan, and Wyoming Counties.

Grant applications for the Sheldon Family Foundation will be entertained until June 10th, 2024. Decisions regarding grant awards will be announced during the summer of 2024. Grant amounts will be up to and including $10,000.

The Sheldon Family Foundation is particularly interested in funding projects falling under the following focus areas:

*Arts

*Natural Resources and Conservation

*Parks and Open Spaces

*Animal Welfare and Protection

*Libraries and Historical Societies

*Child Advocacy

All submitted grant applications should align with one of these focus areas to be considered for funding.

To commence the grant application process, please utilize our online grants portal hosted by the Scranton Area Community Foundation. Please be informed that the Sheldon Family Foundation will exclusively accept grant requests through this online portal, and no paper or email submissions will be entertained.

For organizations new to our grant application process, please create your account with the following details:

*A username, which must be an email address

*Your contact information

*Your organization’s information, including the EIN/Tax ID number (mandatory)

*Contact information for your organization’s Executive Officer

Upon logging in, navigate to the “Apply” section on the applicant dashboard to access available grants. Additionally, we have provided resources such as a written tutorial to assist you throughout the application process. Following the submission of Letters of Intent (LOIs), select organizations will be invited to submit full grant applications through the online portal before the application deadline.
