Sheldon Family Foundation 2025 Grant Cycle

The Sheldon Family Foundation was established at the Scranton Area Community Foundation in 2019, and is intended to enrich the lives of peoples residing or visiting the counties located in the Endless Mountains region, including Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Sullivan, and Wyoming Counties.

The Sheldon Family Foundation emphasizes the following focus areas:

• Arts
• Natural Resources and Conservation
• Parks and Open Spaces
• Animal Welfare and Protection
• Libraries and Historical Societies
• Child Advocacy

Applications will be accepted from July 1, 2025, until August 31, 2025. Decisions will be announced during the fall of 2025. Grant amounts will be up to $10,000.

To apply for a grant, please use the online grants portal hosted by the Scranton Area Community Foundation. Please be informed that the Sheldon Family Foundation will exclusively accept grant requests through this online portal, and no paper or email submissions will be entertained.

For organizations new to our grant application process, please create your account with the following details:

• A username, which must be an email address
• Your contact information
• Your organization’s information, including the EIN/Tax ID number (mandatory)
• Contact information for your organization’s Executive Officer

Upon logging in, navigate to the “Apply” section on the applicant dashboard to access available grants. Additionally, we have provided resources such as a written tutorial to assist you throughout the application process. After submitting Letters of Intent (LOIs), select organizations will be invited to submit full grant applications through the online portal before the application deadline.
