Established in May 2021 by the United Nations Association (UNA) – USA of Northeast Pennsylvania, the fund supports projects in schools and community-based youth organizations that promote global awareness, citizenship and development.

The 5 Goals of the Fund are to support projects that: (1) Directly address one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; (2) Involve international classroom-to-classroom connections through the use of technology such as Zoom; (3) Have schools and community-based youth organizations form partnerships with non-profit organizations, corporations, higher educational institutions, civic groups and governments; (4) Achieve sustainability beyond the term of the grant and (5) Establish strong methods for measuring outcomes and assessing the impact of each project.
