GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that takes place annually. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Your donation made to the Scranton Area Community Foundation on #GivingTuesday will go to support our Community Needs Fund, which is used to fund grants that are awarded to local nonprofit organizations throughout the year and helps us to respond to the continued timely and critical needs of our community.

Today, our communities are facing increasing challenges, including inflation, staffing shortages, housing needs, and limited funding for critical services. Because of your generosity, however, the Scranton Area Community Foundation has been able to respond to many of these needs and other increasing needs right here in our communities.
