The MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund at the Scranton Area Community Foundation is seeking applications from nonprofit organizations in support of animal shelters or animal rescue efforts working to help abused, abandoned, or injured dogs.
Applications will be accepted until August 12, 2024 and will then be reviewed by a committee. Decisions will be made no later than early July. Grants will not exceed $5,290.
The MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund was established in May 2019 in memory of Mary H. Acker to support animal shelters or rescues. Specifically, the purpose of the fund is to support Pennsylvania animal shelters and/or rescues that have a no-kill policy, and which are working to help abused, abandoned, or injured dogs.
